Amazing Benefits of Basil Essential Oil

Cosmetic Applications

Basil essential oil is used topically and massaged into the skin. It enhances the luster of dull-looking skin and hair.

Relieves Stress

This essential oil has a refreshing effect when smelled or consumed, so it is used for treating nervous tension, mental fatigue, melancholy, migraines, and depression. Due to the calming nature of basil essential oil, it is widely used in aromatherapy. Regularly using this essential oil provides mental strength and clarity.

EASE ACHES & PAINS: Add 2 drops of basil to 1 tablespoon of carrier oil, like jojoba oil, sweet almond, grape seed, massage into achy joint. You can also add to unscented lotion or body cream and rub on affected areas.

CLEAR CONGESTION & SOOTHE COUGH: Make a warm compress by placing 3 drops of oil into bowl of warm water. Soak washcloth in bowl and wring out. Lay down, place wash cloth onto chest, and just relax.

ODOR ELIMINATING KITCHEN AIR FRESHENER: Add 2 teaspoon of Epsom salt and 25 drops of basil oil to 4 oz glass spray bottle, swirl to blend oil and salt. Fill rest of bottle with water, leaving room for sprayer top. Shake well before use, spritz throughout kitchen.

REFRESH THE MIND: Diffuse basil oil by placing 3-4 drop into your favorite diffuser to promote a sense of focus and stress relieving benefits.
